I have a 97 with that load height proportioning valve and nearly 100,000 on the odometer and the original rear brake shoes. I think I need to either try upscaling the wheel cylinders but first I'd like to try bypassing that valve. Does anyone remember where they posted instructions and the part number for the replacement hose? Thank you... . Also an appropriate # for an upgraded wheel cylinder if I decided to go that route would be nice and the consequenses of each modification.

I do have overloads on this truck as well as the rear stabilizer bar. I run 80% of the time with 500 or 600 lbs in the bed. Thanks... .

I found the instructions on removing the height sensing proportioning valve but in the process found an interesting thread on how changing the wheel cylinders might be a better first option. Either way, how do you guys go about bleeding the brakes afterwards? Does the old gravity method work?
