I have a 98 12 valve 2500 with upgraded 16x8 weld wheels. When I got my tires rotated today, they told me that I am getting heat cracks in my front rotors. Just bought a 30ft travel camper so will be towing that once a month. I need advice on a high performance brake rotor for front of truck.
Got mine @ autozone for $42 each. they aren't heavy duty but I think they will work for you. Do you keep your foot on the brake while @ a stop while towing? That can warp your rotors pretty easily.
There is a "severe service" brake kit for our trucks, but I think it is over $1000... :--)
Thank you for the replies, but I am looking for an aftermarket, high performance rotor. Checked at Dodge dealer, for factory replacements, they are $220 each. :--)
If anyone can suggest something, it would be greatly appreciated.
If I remember the guys name properly, Glen Maurer at EGR, which is a TDR Banner Advertiser, is the Severe Service Brake guy. Someone has their complete kit listed in his signature, and did the work himself if I remember correctly. I think the cost for shipping and all for the complete kit was like $1600... ...

Update: Ok, happened to see the EGR banner ad here tonight, and followed it.
