I need to replace the front rotors after 160k. I'm looking for the best kind of slotted and crossdrilled rotors and pads.

Also, has anyone had a problem with the contacts in the starter occasionally just clicking and not starting until you turn the switch a couple of times, and what is the cure?

Thanks

The stater contacts are common issue on these CTDs

http://www.fostertruck.com/dodge/default.htm#Turbo shields for Larry Bs repair kit good guy and I usually order 2 kits since I do alot of start/stop commuting to work.

Brakes, I went ahead and used EGRs complete front kit with slotted rotors, blue printed calipers, kevlar pads and steel lines. Total cost was about $900 and have had no brake problems at all in the 3 years they have been on the truck. Can also get rear shoes and larger diameter wheel cylinders w/steel lines for the rear. The rears don't self adjust so adjust them every oil change. When fronts and rears are working these trucks stop very good.

Do a search for steering and get the brace asap, DSS steel brace, and check track bar. These trucks tend to wander and wear out steering boxes if you don't brace. I used Luke's link on the track bar and tie rods and use the brace on the new steering box I had to install. Steering is straight and true.

Front alignment is critical so search for specs and use a shop that is willing to set front to the tighter specs and not say alignment is in factory specs, these are to wide a range.
