i just did my brakes about a month ago,all the way around ... ... ... . i am getting a squeal when driving down the road but if i touch the brakes it goes right away... . just had the rotors turned and i unhooked the ebrake cause i thought that was it ... . seems to be comin from the rear

This is driving me NUTS!!!!! i hate to drive through town

any input will be appreciated

Mine did the same thing too... so I got some stuff called Sqeal Stop at the local parts store. You spray it directly on the rotors all the way around, reinstall the rotors, and then take the truck out and apply the brakes good and hard 6-7 times to wear the stuff in. Worked really well. Check to make sure your anti-rattle clips are on the pads correctly and apply some high-temp RTV to the back of the pads too. Good luck!
 
I had the same problem. I supposedly got the anti-squeal pads with the special backer. But I took no chances.



Permatex makes some blue stuff you spray on the backs of the pads and on the contact surfaces of the caliper and piston. It lubes components as well as filling the air gaps.

I can honestly say that it works. My truck was squealing like crazy until I applied it.
