Started the truck this morning and the ABS and BRAKE lights lite up. I tried to shut it down and restart, but same result.

So, I put the truck in gear and it wouldn't go. It was spinning one tire (not normal). Then I put it in 4x4 pulled out and restarted it again. Still Had the warning lights.

Continued on to work and it drove fine. Eventually the lights went out. But, they came back on before I made it to work (about 60 mile trip). On the way home they flashed off once for a second.

It looks like I will have to give the dealer a call. I thought I would check here and see if anybody may know what is wrong.

Thank you

Mine did the same thing today. Pedal is very sluggish releasing and I get a hydraulic kickback in the pedal when stabbed. ABS and Park Brake lamps, no ABS functioning also. Truck feels slow, like brakes are dragging.

My '99 has the same kickback when stabbed. I checked a friends '99 and his does this also. Neither of us have any other associated brake problems or lwarning lights. I assume that this is normal. Mine has 4w abs and his doesnt.

I can't say the pedal feels strange. I am light on the brakes I downshift and use the exhaust brake.

Still have not called the dealer. I will probably wait until Monday. I will drive the car until I get the truck fixed.
