FYI While crawling around today for a quick visual inspection I found a frayed brake line. The passenger front line has been rubbing on the lower control arm. The old line was nearly gone. I'm running stock rims with 265's. After replacing with braided stainless steel line I found out the bleed screw was very plugged. I bought four new ones just to be sure. With my luck it's probably only me.

good warning

It's not just you, others have had the same problem.

Good thing to watch out for, the consequences of losing all your brake fluid on a 7% downgrade with a 5er behind you could be very disturbing.

About a month and a half ago, I had virtually all my brake lines (metal and flexible) replaced. Only lines that were still good were the lines coming from the resoviour. My truck has never seen a garage, parked on a dirt driveway, so this always helps lead to early corrosion.

If in doubt, replace them ALL. I consider it cheap insurance considering what could happen from a brake failure.

That salt is a terrible thing, eh?

You could send me some cool air though! I had a shop In Bedford that I sold in 97, when moving to the warm climate.

Take care and be safe. Andy
