A must listen to the original Radio Ad for a

I have an older prodigy and when it is hooked to the trailer and parked the trailer brakes click about once per second. I know the controller sends a signal to the brakes to confirm connection but I don't think this is right. The trailer brakes work fine and when I test the blue wire there is 12 vdc when the slide is pushed all the way to the left. Anyone?

The MaxBrake is a controller that taps into your master cylinder. Then applies the trailer brakes according to how hard you press on the brake pedal. The guys that have them, love how much better the system works than the pendulim setup[. .

Yeah! I did my research and mine will be here today. I don't know if I actually have a problem with my Prodigy but if I do this will fix it.

Thanks,

Depending on how good your wiring is on your trailer, almost every electronic controller with "connected" detection will cause some intermittent humming or clicking. If you've good magnets and good wiring the low power pulse it uses to test the wiring will cause the magnets to move slightly, it's not actually indicative of any sort of failure or issues, it actually means your wiring is *good*. The only thing it could possibly indicate is excess play in the magnet-to-drum interface, meaning worn drum or magnet shoe. Easy enough to check for... . well... unless your unit is a bigass 5er like mine, or really heavy TT then even pulling a tire can become an adventure :)
