I got a couple of questions. On the master cylinder (and I believe that GM refers to it as Hydroboost) the underside of my assembly has begun leaking what I perceive to be powersteering fluid as this is what drives the boost for the brakes. There seems to be a small orifice (3/16 in diameter)is this some sort of bleed or weep hole or is there suppose to be something in there? How difficult is it to repair?
Second I have been reading about the turbo seal that allows oil to pass into the intake side of the turbo and is extremely detrimental to turbo life. As I cannot afford a new turbo how difficult and expensive is this repair?
You might dig thru the archives, I remember someone saying a GM kit was available but it was one of those pick and choose the parts that will work arangements.
Thanks, Mr. C, I have been so busy lately that I have just been dealing with the problem, a nice oil spot (powersteering fluid) in the driveway. Need to get it fixed soon. Afterall it is the brake system.
Any ides on the turbo seal? Can this be replaced or is it time for a new turbo?
