brakesmart controller

I just got my brakesmart controller and was wondering about the wiring that is needed. According to the directions there is only one wire coming from the sensor and hooking up to the back of the controller. There is another wire that is larger and with larger plugs, and i was wondering if that is used too? any ideas will be greatly appreciataed. I have a 2003. 5 ctd. . thanks

The larger harness is to the trucks' brake-tow package harness connector.

thanks wild-t, I got the brakesmart installed today and it was so easy. After i started i saw right away how things were suppose to work. I guess i could say "Fire in the hole". . now if I only had time to take my trailer out for say a month. . gp

I had the first tow with mine since install. INCREDIABLE difference! Way way smoother. I generally drive to the camp site and my wife drives home. She really really liked the smoothness too. "The 5er seems like part of the truck now, and not something we are towing"



Definitely worht the $$, easy install, would recommend this to anyone.



Now I'm just going to hang loose and wait till they come out with their new disc brake actuator till I put disc brakes on the 5er. If it is anything like the controller, it should be very well done.
