Brakesmart Install

I just finished the install and was pleasantly suprised on how easy it was to install. After I installed it, I connected my truck to the camper and it detected I had electric brakes. Going camping this Turkey Day down in Virginia Beach. Can't wait to see how it interacts with my truck and the TT.

im glad to hear that. i will be installing my brake smart when i get home. got the e-mail the other day saying it wash shipped. it will be nice to be back in the states, but at the same time i will have a lot to do to my 04. 5



gauges, brakesmart, CB are all at the folks house or on the way. they arma coated the bed and installed the b$W hitch for me.

I'll be towing with it for the first time tomorrow... going to Virginia Beach to meet our best friends to spend the Thanksgiving holiday... camping. I'll let you know how the Brakesmart worked.

In my opinion BrakeSmart is the gold standard when it comes to controller braking performance. Perfectly proportional braking like there was no trailer back there at all. I am VERY happy with it.

Tested mine last night, hauling horses back after dark, 3 deer crossed right in front of me, missed the last one by a hair. Hit the brakes HARD, never knew the trailer was back there. No push/lag, just braking. This ROCKS.
