What is the history behind Dodge and CTD?

Great Race Stories!

I am going to hook up my new 12v fuel pump. It comes with a galvinized fitting which I have heard galvanizing can cause problems. So which is safer to use black iron or brass?

You'll want to be careful with brass. Many brass fittings are "red brass", and they can rot out. You'll also want to make sure it is not bearing any weight or stress, as it can more easily snap off. I doubt there is enough zinc on a galvanized fitting to cause problems.

If you go brass, you'll also want to stay away from any that looks cast as it will crack/break/split if overtightened or abused... very brittle.

If the fitting looks like it was completely machined from a chunk of brass, most likely you'd never have problems with it...

Parker makes the machined yellow brass fittings. Most hardware stores cary them or if you have a Parker store in your area.
