My homebuilt twins are half way on and should be finished tomorrow. Any suggestions on breaking them in. All I know about is unplugging my shutoff solenoid and cranking the engine so they get lots of oil before the engine fires. Other than that what else? Drive easy for a while? How long before I tow? I do need to use my truck to tow soon, but Dad offered me his until they get broken in. Any suggestions or anything I might be missing? TIA

p. s. they are a 35/3B twins

When I bought my 40 from piers the instructions said to go easy (not over 20 psi I think) for the first 50 miles. I just finished my twins install last night using my PDR 40 and a 3B. I don't bother cranking it to get pressure, I usually dump lots of oil in the top of the bearing housing through the oil line port, then just let it idle until it's had pressure for a while.

Too bad I have to nurse my fresh head gasket and o-ring job for a while until I can really hammer on it.
