break out shudder

Have a 2004 1/2 D600 3500 dually with 48RE auto. When pulling fifth wheel weighing around 16000#, I have a shudder from 0 to about 5MPH. Does anyone know if there is a tech bulletin out for this problem? Thanks.

I can't tell you about tech bulletins but I'd bet money it's a pinion angle issue.

Have read about the pinion angle. I have air bags on my dually and keep the truck level when loaded. Hopefully this negates that, but, you never can tell.

Sounds like axle wrap to me.

Mine had a bad case of axle wrap/pinion angle vibration off the line loaded until I got rid of the stock springs. Tis all smooth now and solid as a rock
