I've just had Doug @ ADT install my Towing Twins along with 0-ringing and head freshening. I had the side cover replaced at the time of my new short block this past Dec. to relocate the breather from front to side. Above 50 lbs. boost it really pukes oil, like there is no baffling in it at all like I see on the front breather. I've since reconnected the front breather so I can use both, just curious what others have experienced. Thanks,Dave.

I don't know how much blow-by you have on your motor but I have to run two breathers (12V and 24V) to give mine enough room, when I had just the 12V one I blew the pushrod cover gasket off... ... . multiple times.

Jim,is that all my so called up date was,a side cover for the 12v motors?(breather on it) Did all the 24v motors have the breather in front then? I now have both of them in use on mine.

Dave

When I had my issue Van Haisley told me how the fix the cover and to use both breathers and I've had zero issues with it for a year now!

Jim

Jim,how did you fix the cover? I am going to install a 12v lifter cover on my 24v. In preparation for my twins. Thanks, Sam.

Take the NEW stock cover and sand the paint off on the lip... on both sided's with 40 grit paper, clean it and dab good RTV on the edge and install the NEW gasket, then seal the gasket to the cover on the inside and outside..... build a slight ridge to tie the two together, then in at least 6 spots wrap rubber bands around the cover, to hold the gasket firmly in place as well as doing it end to end, then let it sit on the bench 24 hours to dry, cut the bands off and install..... fixed!

Jim, great info. I have all the pieces sitting here on the floor just waiting to be installed. Thanks ,Sam.
