Is anyone else running these? I just put a set on and they are squirrelly. It feels like a lot of sidewall flex. I've tried all different tire pressures, from 50 to 95 with no variance. I can't believe a 12 ply rated tire would have this much flex.

I've heard that on the deep tread tires like these that it takes a while to break them in and that the mush feel will go away.

Any one elses experience with these would be appreciated.

I have no experience whatsoever with those tires or even 19. 5 inch wheels. However when I first put on my bridgestone revos I noticed the same thing. I was quite dissapointed after reading all the rave reviews about them. To the point I was going to return them. I couldnt get back to the tire place for a couple weeks (they had a 30 day return policy). By the time I could get back the squirrelyness (is that a word) was gone and I have been very satisfied with them. I also thought it to be sidewall flex but that would not have gone away. In the end I attributed it to as you called it tread break in. I have bought many tires over the years and never had that happen before but I am glad that I did not return them as they have been great tires. Not saying yours will go away just relating what happened to me once.

Barry,

That's good to hear. I haven't had the chance to put very many miles on them yet. I believe these tires have 16/32's of rubber on them so it could be tread squirm. It feels like you are driving on an icy road. I hope they do break in, I like the aggresive tread design along with not being very noisey.

Thanks... . Doug

What type of wheels do you have on your truck DLoughery? I am waiting for budnik to release their aluminum 19. 5's for 03 duallys. Also, is your tize 8R 19. 5 or 245's because I know the 245's have 21/32 tread depth and hardly any sidewall flex because those are the tires I will put on my wheels whenever they are released.

I have the Rickson's, 6". I've heard that the deep tread depth go through some sort of break in period. Funny I didn't hear a thing about this until after I ran into this problem. I have a couple of hundred miles on them now and I can start to feel a difference. I'm taking 500 mile trip this weekend so we'll see how they do.
