I have had a Bright Box from Genos for about 8 months. The other day when switchiing from high to low beams the lights just go OFF. It is a reak surprise. If I pull back on the stalk they come right back on. The bright box is switching as I have tried this in the garage. Anyone else had this problem? DaveD

I just installed a Geno's Brite Box... tested in the daylight hours and all seemed well...

Wen't to use the headlights for the first time and when the lights are turned on, all WAS OK until I tilted the steering column from the upright position to the low position... alas... the lights go out completely, no low beams!

When the steering is tilted back up 1 or 2 notches from the bottom... the low beams come back on... the high beams seem to be working as intended, bright as can be...

Imagine my surprise when I turned on the "Brite" lights and had nothing but black!...

Any ideas??? I followed the directions provided to a "T", but am concerned that they may go out at any time while driving at night without warning...

rfielding,

Take of the covers around your steering column. On the left side there will be a box where a bunch of wires plug into. Look for a violet or purplw wire with a white tracer. If sitting behind the wheel, it will be the one that plugs into the top right of the box. There is not enough "slack" in the wire so when you tilt your steering wheel down it pulls the wire out just enough not to make contact. Thats why the lights will work when steering column is up. I have fixed mine twice since March and currently needs it again. HTH

Thank you so much for the information... I have the whole thing apart now as I totally lost all headlights last night returning from work... had to use the Piaa lights to get home...

I'll let you know what I find... I was just getting ready to take it to the stealer as I have had no luck for the past hour locating the right wire...

Your timing was terrific!

Roger
