What are the absolute brightest head light bulbs I can put I’m my 99. I have the sport light conversion and am looking for new light bulbs

Go to this link, then click on the 9004 HB1 and 9007 HB5 bulbs. Within those pages you can purchase 100/80 watt high output Hella bulbs. I've been using them in my sport (conversion) headlights for several years.

www.rallylights.com has some good stuff, by the way.

not to be a total jerk, but blinding the oncoming cars isn't exactly the safest thing in the world. I can understand wanting super bright high beams which can be switched off when there is traffic coming at you, but super bright low beams is just asking for trouble. When I come up on a vehicle with bright lights, I have to look away, thus increasing my chance of hitting them head on. Something to think about with all the discussion of bright lights going on on the board lately.

The sport headlights, when aimed properly, do not seem to blind oncoming drivers. In the 4 years I've been using the bulbs from the link in my previous post, I can count the number of times I've been flashed to dim my low beams on 1 hand with fingers left over. The key is aiming the lights properly.

You have a valid point, however. So, I would encourage anyone who uses them to be responsible.

Jay is right on, I have the sport conversion, and I have been flashed maybe 3-4 times in the 3 years I have had the conversion. I have it wired so that both bulbs are lit at the same time. When aimed correctly, they point straight forward, and I get very little side lighting on low beams, with both bulbs on bright, it lights up alot more of the side of the road. The only thing I really have noticed, is that they are very bright to the car right in front of me. I there for usually tend to stay to the right, so my headlight is not directly shining in thier diverside mirror. Definately makes them adjust thier rearview to "night mode" though! :-laf I am using the stock wattage Silverstars and have been very happy with the results. I wish they made a higher watt high beam buld that had the stock wattage on the low. I drive alot of country roads, and that is where I use my highs, and usually you can see an on coming car from quite aways and you have plenty of time to dim them.

yes but with the super dim low beams i have now i may wind up in their lane, i think they would prefer that i can see :-laf

I'll second that! And I do the same for that reason.

But I have to admit, it gives me a little smile when the guy in front is a little rice burner with a big exhaust tip, lots of body plastic (usually unpainted) and no suspension whatsoever! That's what he gets for sitting with his butt on the pavement.
