No problem! The reason the HID's are so expensive is due to the Ignitor units that have to step up the voltage to light the Xenon gas inside the capsule.

Hi Josh,

The Xenon lighting systems cerainly are expensive. I went to several online dealers and the going rate seemed to be in the $300. 00 to $600. 00 range. I didnt bother looking too hard to see if they had any for my 1st gen. truck. The pictures you posted were revealing. (pardon the pun) Even in the daytime picture you can see the brightness of your headlights compared to the fog/driving lights you have. When you posted the other day, I wrote down the how to instructions in your post, but wonder given the smaller area 1st gen. headlights take up compared to the later tucks if I would have room to fit the savvaged mercedes or beemer components.

Thanks again.

Honestly I'm not sure how it would work on a 1st Gen. It might be tough! That's why I recommend a second set of lights.

The fog/driving lights are 100watts. The Xenon's are only rated at 35watts. Amaizing the difference in light output!
