Here I am

British (Triumph) Motorcycle forum...know of any...?

Attention: TDR Forum Junkies
To the point: Click this link and check out the Front Page News story(ies) where we are tracking the introduction of the 2025 Ram HD trucks.

Thanks, TDR Staff

It ain't diesel but its just as good.

Wonder why your fedex and ups packages are late?

I am finally getting around to getting my 74 Triumph Trident running again. I am pretty sure of the shop that will be doing my motor work, but would like to educate myself on the older British motorcycles. I have not found anything on the web yet, I would like to find a forum similar to TDR but for older Brit bikes. Any leads?

Thanks.

Are you talking about .......

Whitworth? I think that was/is the orphan setup used in jolly old England. I`d love to have an old Bonneville. It would be a great rider. The 1969 Bonnie came in a beautiful Jade green that just looked trmendous. Gorgeous machines. DK.

Triumph went to unified (unc, unf) around 1969ish so your SAE wrenches will work for most fasteners. The triple still has some BA and BSP hardware to keep things interesting/aggravating. But over the years nearly anything could have been bodged in by a previous owner. Thread pitch gauges and a micrometer are useful tools to have at hand. A parts handbook and factory shop manual are indespensable and are the first tools I would buy before starting the project.
