In yesterday's mail I received a brochure for the new 2003 HDs. They said that I could lock in my low price and some bonus $500 off. New is nice but my truck is still new
I was looking at an invoice the other day that showed DC charging each buyer $ 20. 00 mailing cost... . I had to think about that, then I asked the dealer "You guys are charging me to send that C#@! to my house?"
Did anyone notice the bottom of one of the pages had a sticker on it with some writing, covering up what was originally printed. When I carefully peeled it off, it said the exact same thing underneath! WTF?
Thanks. I read those two things about six times looking for a difference. Even had the wife read them both and she couldn't find anything different either. Kind of like when you read your posts after submitting them to check for mistakes.
Royk, that's OK, I had a really hard time finding myself, however I had and advantage. I "knew" there had to be a mistake or they would not have gone to the trouble of fixing it. FYI, my wife found it first time thru. Snoking
My question is "$500 off "of what? You still have to dicker with them, and while you're doing that they know you know you are going to hit 'em up for another $500 when you're thru, so they stop $500 short of where they would have otherwise! The paper is worthless!
I also saw that stupid commercial with the furd and the ship. Reminds me of the one where the little Isuzu or something is pulling an 18 wheeler that broke down on the side of the road. It's so stupid it's not even funny
Saw that the dealer up the road from me has a new '03 2500 ST short bed w/Cummins. Just stopped to look. Mine is only 7 months old and I love it. Not in the buying stage now but does'nt hurt to look.
Drove the 03' this past weekend. Nice and quite gets up and runs like a gasser but the clutch is so light compared to my 02'. I like having that heavy feel on the clutch what did they do to the 03' to make the clutch so light? Is it electrical? Oh and I didn't like the 6-sp I prefer the 5-sp smoother shifting... .
