Broke the left-front coil spring on my truck - '01 2500 quad-cab 2wd. I haven't had any luck finding replacements from the aftermarket - anybody got any leads or ideas?

Have you considered ordering one fom Dodge?

I just tried a couple of spring part numbers I found in the parts manual and they cost about $110 each if ordered online from a Dodge dealer. Apparently you'll need a "tag number" off the original spring to order the correct replacement.

Have you been to a junk yard yet? I bet they aren't big movers and you could pick up a pair pretty cheap. Also, I would suggest replacing both sides together.

Well, tried the dealer this morning - $180/$184 each (strange... 2 different part #s/prices for left/right). Based on Nick's suggestion, called Napa - $114/pr, be here Friday. Hope they're the right ones! Even if he read it wrong and they're $114 each, I'm still way ahead... Time will tell - thanks all for the help!

As long as they are a matched set no big deal but you may sit a little higher or lower and softer or stiffer ride

Just for your reference, the standard duty set is#2773270 which includes a left and right. The heavy duty set is #2773271, a matched pair for the 155" wheel base trucks. Good luck.
