Hi all, Well I replaced my lift pump and in the process I broke my dip stick, went 35 miles one way to go and get It, tried to put It in and It only goes so far Its the same size but at the very end Its differnt, on the original Its twisted on the end and the new one Its just straight, still has 6-9 inches to go what should I do?

Now I now why they call It a dip stick, cause Im a dipstick for breaking It

My pressure Is at 14. 8 at idle that better than 11 on the one before, I still have not run Her down the road to see what the other reading are any Info would be great thanks

I had the same problem replacing mine. You have to get the new tube that goes with it. The dumbasses at dodge thought it would be fun to make the person replacing it replace the whole tube...

If the stick is the same except its not bent , and you do not want to drive back to dealer . You could put it in vice heat with a Propane torch and twist with a adjustible wrench to match the original one . Ron Bissett in Metro Louisville KY:rolleyes:

Thanks for all the Info guys, Here Is what I did, The old dip stick was fine except I broke It, but just the head off, so bought a new one for 20 bucks and I took the pin out of the old one and new one that holds the head on (where it say egine oil) and put the new head on the old dip stick and now It works great but I pay 20 bucks for that darn new head, owell plus It saved me haveing to buy the whole new tube Just thought you might want to know if someone else did the same thing at a later date:confused:
