I finaly have my reason to get a full HTS trans. Friday night I was at the local dragstrip and made one pass at 13. 3 and then on my secand pass I broke the output shaft leaving the line. I have been wanting to get the whole transmission gone through and now I can. Has anyone else broken the output shaft on a 47RH transmission? We have not heard of anyone breaking one.

Chris

they have been broken before, from my understanding it can be a quick fix by simply dropping the OD unit and bolting a new one up. but a new trans is always sweet!

Ton's of guys have broken them.

at what boost level did you break it??

you can replace the output shaft in the OD unit, just need to drop the OD unit and pull it apart and replace the shaft, the stock O/P shafts are cheep, but you may want to up-grade it.
