The plastic part on the kick-down cable broke off, I found it laying in the plastic cover that is covering the throttle linkage. Should I drive my 99 3500 CTD to the dealership with out the kick-down cable on or should I have a flatbed take it there, it is about 10-15 miles away.

I'm assuming we are talking about the TV (throttle valve) cable. Which plastic part broke? If it was the ball / socket end, just wire it together or epoxy the broken piece for the ride to the dealer. When I broke mine trying to adjust the cable, it was recommended to me NOT to drive it. I rigged mine up temporarily until the new one I ordered came in.

Good luck :)
