2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Broken leaf spring

Broke a rear leaf spring on my truck . . Does anyone know if other manufacturers springs the same ... I have a set off a ford f250 that are available to me fairly cheap ... Was just wondering if anyone knew. . Thanks

If you are able to get the f*od springs at a great deal I would think as long as the measure out the same and are stacked (packed) the same and the ends will bolt up you should be OK? I'd be certain to check the unloaded height from the pin to the top of line between the front and back mounting holes and compare with yours. Also the GVW of both trucks.

I'm sure someone else who's considered this swap or done it in the past will chime in shortly. That's what I'd look for if I couldn't find a matching set off another Ram.

Also check the distance from center to center of the spring eyes, also from the center of forward eye to the center bolt, then center of rear eye to the center bolt.



I am doubting that they will work as they are. You might be able to use a few leaves to replace the broken ones if your main leaf is alright in your existing spring.



If by some minor miracle things do measure up you will have to change both sides of the truck.

Thanks . . Yea I'm hoping to be able to just swap out the broken spring. . I got all my measurements now I just have to compare them
