Ignition Starting Trouble

I have had my 06 Mega now for 1 year. When I bought the truck the passenger front side window had a crack in it. This crack was at the bottom front of the window. The crack started from down in the door. They replaced the window and had not issues until 2 month ago the window crake again. I took it to the local glass shop in Wichita, KS, the only one I have ever used. They replaced the window. 600 miles later and while the truck was sitting in front of the shop, the same window cracked again. When I took it back and showed them, they had no idea. They replaced the window yesterday and said they could find nothing wrong expect with you roll the window up, the regulator pushes the window against a brace in the door and this is how the window rides. The replaced the window with a tempered glass this time for an 05 instead of the laminated glass that is in the 06 trucks. Has anyone ran across this problem, of have any ideas as to what is causing. Also to add to this, the dealer ship told me that they had replaced the drivers window with the same problem as the passenger door.

Thanks

Why Not (Chris)

I'd pop off the door panel and observe the window moving up and down several times. It sounds like it's flexing during travel. If it looks OK, leave the door panel off and drive around as you normally do and look for any door or other flexing as you ride over bumps that might cause it.

I will give that a try and see what I can see. The concern is the last 2 times the window broke sitting in the driveway in front of the shop.

Well, that's definitely a weird aspect of the occurrence. I think that the window would shatter if there was any sudden, sharp event. But slight flexing would be the likely culprit if it just cracked, caused by pressure as the window moved, or the frame around it moved. The only other cause I can think of that would crack a window while the vehicle is sitting is temperature. And that could also cause flexing in the frame or other non-moving window parts that touch the glass.
