I'll try to post this again. I am getting tired of typing it over again. Never heard of this happening. I went out and looked at mine and it is kind of flimsy looking , but well attached. Did you have some kind of monster shock on it or was the shock bottoming out to stop your steering travel? Since it is in front of the spring it is not a high stress/flex/load area of the frame I would sizzle stick it together. It has been maaaaany years since I studied welding and 12 or so since I did a lot of it , but I would clean it up REAL good and use something like a 10018 rod or at the worst a 7018 and stick it together. A high tensile wire welder would be real nice. I have had good luck getting muffler shops to do stuff like this real reasonably , but I always have them show me a sample of their welding first. $20. 00 goes a long way getting welding done at a muffler shop and they can elevate the truck to get to it. If it was a critical area of the frame it would get a new frame or I would do the welding myself. Maybe someone can chime in whether he needs to disconnect the batteries or altenator to prevent ALT or computer damage before welding on this truck??????
