I was just driving my truck when I felt the throttle pedal move and then get really free. Now there is almost no resistance to the throttle. It's not binding, just real free. I can't see any springs in the cab, and am not sure if there are springs in the engine compartment? Has anyone else had this problem? Hopefully it's an external spring and not something in the pump. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Ron

There is a spring from the lever on the pump to the engine block. It is known to break. You will need to get a new one from Dodge. It's a special double wrapped sping. Simple fix.

Thanks, I did find a broken spring that looks like it hade a plastic snap on fitting on each end. All I found was one of the ends, but definately looks like a dealer part. I put a standard spring on for now till I can get to the *******.

Thanks again.
