Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) broken vacum pump

Pump still pumps works good but the two tits that drive the power steering pump are broken off. Anyone know of a fix for this? Does that coupler come off? If so, how (press or drive off with a chisel)? Thanks in advance for any help.

Hey, I'm glad to see that link. I probably have the link and have been to the site but its news to me that he is now selling the coupler, sweet.



You are lucky because sometimes when those tangs break they take the main drive gear or housing out too. My cousin's lost three teeth off the main gear and mine broke the main housing and gushed engine oil all over. I was out on the road and had to pay full price at a carquest for a rebuilt pump and guess what, they didn't even replace that coupler and it was much more worn than mine was at a few hundred thousand miles!!!! In my case it was one tang on the p/s pump that broke and and took out the vacuum pump housing. Later on when I had time I swapped my complete rotor into the rebuilt pump.
