I think the shut spring on my wastegate is broken because I can move the lever with my hand. Does this sound right ??

I checked it based on a conversation today with TST, and it may be why I can't get more than 32 psi boost, with the boost signal cut off.

Can I replace it, or will I need to get a new hosuing ? And if so, should I go with a 14 cm or stick with 12 ?

If your interested I have a Banks Bighead actuator I'll let go cheap. It's in great shape with under 10k on it. Set at 43 psi. PM me if interested

Thanks... I may be interested yet. I'll keep you in mind.

I took the turbo off the truck tonight, and it seems the PO put the current actuator on. It wasn't adjusted right, or at least it didn't seem to be.

Using shop air regulated down to the correct pressure, I adjusted it so it starts to open at 25 psi, and is fully open at 35 psi. Before, it would slam open very easily, now, it opens slowly.

I can also no longer move it with my fingers like before.

There was no preload on it before, now there is.

Still limited to 32 psi boost (even with the wastegate disabled). Have to figure out if I have a boost leak or what now.

So far, everything the PO did to the truck has been wrong in one way or another. it is making me think he did something wrong with the lift pump too, as I seem to be having some fueling issues also.

Good pressure at idle & 2500 rpm, but the truck won't hardly smoke at all, and with the #10 in it, it should.
