Cummins 6AT3.4

Transmission/Transfer Case Crossmember

Since we have a new forum I will let everyone know about my project. I will be getting a 96-98 3/4 reg cab longbox(rollover) to swap my 79 bronco onto. I was going to use the drivetrain from the truck and swap to the bronco, but decided the opposite would be easier, and I would have a stronger frame as well. I will use this for my daily driver as I don't want to wear out my welding truck if I don't have to. It will recieve a 5" lift and a custom body lift to clear 38's(40" boggers on the weekends:D)

I will keep extensive pictures and details on the project and try to answer any questions along the way.

I haven't looked at that particular frame but make sure you have enough straight parallel frame to remove. I was looking at lengthening a std cab 79 F250 and making a bombed supercab out of it. The frame is like a snake and there appears to only be one place where the 4x4 front section could be mated to the 2x4 SC frame. I found a SC frame to start with.

I've changed gears a bit. I will now be putting a supercab/shortbox on the chassis and hopefully won't have to cut the frame or move the rear axle. I need a truck more than another Bronco(already have 2) since my 3500 is always loaded.
