... with an Edge E. Z. box installed. We removed the box last night

and it seems to have stopped leaking. It looks like it's coming from the left rear around #6 fuel line. I've heard that some boxes raise rail pressure. Could this be what's happening. It also had a code for fuel pressure out of range, which I cleared. He's supposed to have a Dealer lokk at it today. Any help appreciated... Doug

Oh it's an 04 CTD "600"

If the truck is a 03+ model, the edge does raise the rail pressure and this is probably why it is leaking. In reality, somthing is probably not torqued to the correct spec and is leaking. The edge raised the rail pressure enough that the leak is agravated.

It was my understanding that the edge box was supposed to prevent any codes being set by fooling the ECM on boost and fuel pressure. There may also be an issue with the edge box. You might give edge a call as well and see what they say about the code being set.

Let us know how it turns out. Good luck.

Thanks, I would try to tighten the fuel line, but I fixed a coolant leak and some other things before and the dealer raised hell for me touching it. I guess my 20 years as a Diesel tech don't matter. If it was mine i would fix it,but my bro wants them to take care of it so I ain't touching it. If they see evidence of the box they may not warranty it anyway. I'll tell him to get in touch with the Edge people. They seemd like good folks when I had problems with the Comp on my 99. I'll let you know what happens... Doug
