Computer problem

Some Observations on Life.

Remember when were were all supposed to have embedded systems in our 'fridges?

I'd hang 'Gates up by his eggs if my beer ever got cold from a software bug!! :-laf

From what I have been told

That was the whole idea behind the X~Box. Once enuff units were sold a simple software upgrade can be had to make it a Cable box / Broadband Connection / ISP Voice decoder / Home PC / Video Gaming System (The Technology is allready incorporated within) Then Microsoft will roll out their Digital Domain plan

Which just so happens is in the developmental stage now (Cable All in High Def , Voice plans ,) and microsofts upcoming super technology the Pc that all info is stored to an external hard drive connected to the X~Box and the O. S is run remotely so there is no extra memory resources needed for an operating system on the user's end.

I heard this at nauseum from a guy at work that works in town that does research work for MS. This guy is stoked about it so I gotta tend to believe the guy.

Microsoft = the end of the world as we know it...

I also heard about a group of people that bought a bunch of X-Boxes and hooked them all together like a 'render farm' to make a super computer... .

Sounds like a bad 'War Games' remake... . man, that's an old movie!

I was in Best Buy before Christmas and they had an internet ready refrigerator for a mere $8K. Why? :D

So the fridge can email you at work and tell you that you are getting short on beer and that the steak you took out of the freezer and put in the fridge is defrosted and ready to cook.
