Competition Need More Power!

Competition Indy cancled ?????

I dont know if any of you pull at the Buck in Pennsylvania. But I seen they posted their 2008 rules and they still dont allow Dual Cp3s in the Modified Street class comparable to the DHRA Super Street class where they allow dual cp3s, what gives? I dont understand the great fear in allowing dual cp3 trucks pull. They arent dangerous because they have 2 pumps just is able to keep more volume, same rail pressure as stock. I wish there could be a general rulebook that covered everything and kept everything safe so you could go anywhere and not be turned down because of different rules at every place you go. My thought is these places should just follow the DHRA rulebook or a big association like it to keep things simple for the competitors who bring in their crowds so they can profit.

This is what they say:

Injection pump and entire fuel system must be O. E. M. factory installed system for the engine/truck being used.

Who in the world is running stock lift pump, injectors, and injection pump in a Modified Street class?[duhhh]

Any thoughts, comments, whatever appreciated especially for anyone with this same problem and want to pull in their closest place to pull. Sorry If I sound like I am whining, I JUST WOULD LIKE TO PULL A TIME OR TWO A YEAR at the place closest to home. [laugh][laugh]

Hey Michael how u doin man?

IMO the Buck sucks, way to much money to get in and pull and the rules are a joke!

They wont get another dime of my money! Just my $. 02

Take er easy

Buddy

I don't think they list any rules regarding front bumpers. I don't think its right a guy can run a big steel aftermarket front bumper... but another guy running a stock bumper can't add front weight??? figure that one out

I do agree there should be a state wide rule book... . it'd be easier to pull at more places if I didn't have to set my truck up for 5 different rule books... .

Yeah, I've heard a lot of guys complaign about their rule book at the Buck. Thats where I usually go to watch the pulls though. Anyone know of another place with diesel pickup pulls near the lebanon/harrisburg area?

Lebanon fair grounds has a couple pulls a year. I also do not like the buck. Announcers are smokin wacky weed and pullin rules are nutz. One rule that really irritates is if you have a aftermarket intake (cfm, afe, etc etc) you can't pull stock class. If you got an otherwise stock truck it'll really mess your nite up.

it def says OEM bumpers in the rules. i read the rules last march when getting ready for the season and saw that... knowing my home-made steel bumper would cause issues, i called the owner up there to verify. he told me "listen buddy, if its not stock, you won't pull, thats all there is to it"

so i searched ebay for weeks to get a stock bumper to run.

showed up for the first pull and low and behold they let ONE out of 60 some trucks pull with a ranchhand bumper... he won the stock class by 11" that night and when everyone raised hell, the tech crew told them to shut up and leave or they wouldn't be allowed back.

2nd event rolls around and the question is raised, a 10 minute argument in the drivers meeting is concluded with the understanding that the rule would be ditched, because the tech crew can't scrutinize every truck seeing who is hiding weight up front. they also said you could bolt weights tot he frame up front, fill the stock bumpers with lead, anything that didnt alter the stock look of the front end.

at the 3rd pull everyone who had homemade/big bumpers showed up with them, like myself. and at the scales we were again questioned on the bumpers. finally it was decided that for the 08 season its gonna be OEM bumpers only, no exceptions anymore, too many issues with it in 07.

yeah, I usually go the ones at the Lebanon Fair Grounds, but I was curious as to what else is around this area. I always thought the Buck anouncers were half descent, but then, I havn't been to to many other pulls. I do know theres a indoor pull at the Harrisburg Farm Show Arena this weekend if anyone is interested.

I was at the farmshow building for the pulls friday night. Had to leave early ( 1:15am) Anyone stay for the diesel truck pulls? How did they go? Any video or pictures.
