i been having a bucking and jerking problem for the last few months,... . it only happens when i am in 3rd lock-up and OD and very low speeds 12-1400 rpm and from 30-50 mph... i can drive out of it but it is a pain in the *** in traffic. i have had people tell me running big inj. and a tight converter will cause this..... see sig for mods

i have no codes and it's not locking and un-locking the converter... . it acts like a 5 speed truck at to low of rpm's in to high of a gear.

anyone one else have this problem?

Thanks

Scott

You effectively have exactly the same situation as a 5 speed at too low rpm and too high a gear. You converter locks the engine the same as a manual clutch would do. The drivetrain is much happier at higher engine rpm where the engine won't buck and vibrate. I recommend not using significant power under 1800 rpm even though the engine will pull below that rpm. You have lots of power adders, and bigger tires, all things that make higher rpm even more important for the engine to run smoothly under any load.

That converter doesn't like low RPM and big sticks. That's probably where that's coming from. Did it do that before your new converter??

same trouble

mine is doing the same thing but sometimes it will do it till about 2400rpm i have found a bad apps and am replacing the map as it feels like the computer is getting mixed signals of how much boost is actually in the manifold and switching the fuleing back and forth to accomodate the boost signal. hope it works will post with result. also my truck had about 35k with the converter installed and about 50k on the sticks before this started.
