Anyone wondering about the fit/finish of a buckstop bumper, mine showed up in perfect condition and was a direct bolt on job in a couple of hours (including removal of the stock bumper).

The bumper was very expensive but you get what you pay for. Leadtime may be an issue for some, originally I was told 4-5 weeks, however it took just over 3 months to get it. They don't charge you for it until it is ready to ship however.

I had the opportunity to test it out on a flying turkey while traveling at 70 mph  on my way to work a while back. The turkey hit the top bar of the bumper and exploded into a cloud of feathers and guts engulfing the truck :--) I can't even imagine how hard the guy behind me must have been laughing after seeing all the feathers come around the truck! The bad news was that it was on my way to work so I couldn't wash off the mess until that night, but the good news was that after it was cleaned there wasn't a scratch on either the bumper or the truck :D

BTW, turkey guts are very hard to wash off

Some pics...

All the specks/marks on the bumper are bugs, not rockchips. I haven't washed it for awhile...

Also, the compartment in the front of the bumper for a winch works extremely well for mounting a large air horn if you so desire...

I really like the looks of that bumper! Oh yeah, that's mine. :D

P. S. I think that Steve St. bounced a Chevy off of his.

Jengle needs to quit leaving the area without his truck. One of these days Testraub and I are going to relieve him of his buckstops, front and rear. :p :-laf

Gotta move fast to find it. Sometimes I take it with me on the road trips. Gotta move faster now, with the SP66 on there.

Ordered mine the day before Thanksgiving, I got it on Thursday, I think that's pretty good for being built during the holidays and then sent all the way out here.
