that is bad ***** how much money did that cost and how much does it weigh??

those seemed pretty pricey if I remember correctly. there is a place down in junction tx I think I am going to order from when I get a new truck

Truck looks really sweet my man. I wish I would have shelled out a few more bucks for a real bumper. Although I'm really proud about my Ranchhand.

Man, the more I see these Buckstop bumpers, the more I want one!!! I have a feeling the only way I'm going to be able to justify one to the CFO is if I hit a deer! (just kidding honey)

That's a nice looking rig nriver!

I think it is about 400lb, not sure. I forgot to measure the fender height before and after. I have not driven it yet, but it seemed like my tires rub'd sooner with this on the front. Guess I need that lift now, oops just ordered one.

nriver, Your truck sure looks GREAT with that bumper. If you ever get your truck weighed I sure would be interested in the weight on the front axle. I sure would like to have one on my truck, but I have added an in bed fuel tank and I need to weigh my front axle.

Great looking truck. I put one on over a year and a haf ago and it still looks new. High quality fit and finish. I payed $1350 for mine shipped to a business. (Fire station). A buddy also got one for his 01 and we installed them both that afternoon and evening between calls and duties. It was nice to have lots of hand around to mount them.

I believe they only weigh about 250 lbs more than stock. I was amazed how flimsy the stock bumper is. With all the mouldings, it maybe weighed 30 lbs. That would offer no protection at all. I figured $1300 for a bumper or at least $3k plus for any type of a front end impact. Radiator, intercooler, A/C condensor and Trans cooler, plus body damage and more importantly getting stranded in the boonies.

I would definately buy another one.

I wonder if they do group buys... .....

That's how I got mine

I don't think they weigh much over 200 pounds, I installed mine by myself with a floor jack and it has a 12k winch in it. It was much easier to mount than I thought it would be.

They are great BUT they will RUST!

I mean the door where the winch fits you should cushion the pieces with electrical tape or they will wear off the paint from movement... . Also where the front hitch fits in - it will rust due to movement - you remove the powder coat AND from rock impacts - the powder coat is not impervious to this... . I think the front should be coated with a poly or something..... I can show photos.....

As for the weight, not sure on the actual, just what the guy thought. I do know this. It was a pain to get out of the bed by my self. I then put it on my self, with a jack of course.

The stock bumper is more than 30lb, but I agree nothing compared to the weight of this bumper so not sure the actual.

I don't get by a scale very often, but I will weigh the front when I do.

Without the bumper there is not much protection on the front of the truck. Lots of radiators.

I bought mine months ago but just recently got it installed on my truck. Weight? I thought something close to or maybe over 300lbs. That thing is heavy!!! I used a 512 lift which worked perfectly. Can't imagine doing it by yourself with just a floor jack. That must have taken some skill & muscle!

I still need to mount the OEM fog lights and 6" round aftermarket lights. That will probably take me another year to complete!

Love the bumper! Excellent fit and finish. Only one gripe though. The powder coat seems to chip easy and I'm getting small rust spots where rocks have chipped away the powder coat. Other then that I'm sure this thing will do what it claims and STOP BUCKS dead in their tracks!!!

Oh... a friend of mine painted a bad scenario where what if someone pulls out in front of you (their fault, not yours) and you t-bone them killing or seriously injuring him. Can the other insurance company/party ague that the aftermarket bumper increased injury/damage where the stock one would have absorbed the impact better? Is this bumper DOT approved (I need to check their website). Just a what if……
