Hey Everyone.

I was wondering what make the bug deflector is in the bottom left corner of page 146, issue 47. I've been thinking about getting one of the flat stainless ones out of Genos that stands straight up from the grille, but I think I like the one on Mr. Warner's rig more.

Thanks. The mag and site are two very thorough and enjoyable resources.

I just looked at the RAM you are referring to. That is the first time I have seen a chromed bug sheild (I think it is chromed) that is not the Flat looking Lund style. I bought the Lund hood sheild and I removed it after 6000 miles. It will scratch the paint by the way it mounts and I have a small line of light rust where it used to be.

I am done with chrome and stainless stuff. I am not sure who makes it but I have never seen one before. Someone else may be able to chime in. I am going to buy myself a simple ventshade stickon bug sheild as all this fancy shiny stuff has only caused me grief... :)

Thanks

Phil

Guys, this is what you are looking for (AutoVentshade Bugflector II Designer Series):

I have a "brushed nickel" color set on my truck and love them, but they come in a variety of colors. Since the truck is Driftwood in color they blend in very well. Have a nice profile and look to them. Attaches to the top of the grill and the front of the fenders with double sided tape. The Sportsmans Guide had the best price that I found. Also, had great service. Ordered it and they stated a two week delivery but I got it 3-4 days after ordering.

I had the Lund Stainless deflector for about 4,000 miles. Hated it with a passion. Anybody want to buy a used Lund stainless deflector?

Well I don't have the TDR in front of me so I can't see which one you are referring to, if it's a 3rd gen, I have one from Mopar, chrome that curves with the hoodline. Attaches to factory holes in the grill. John

Here are some additional pictures of the Brushed Nickel color on my truck. The brushed nickel blends in well with the Driftwood color. Originally had the Mopar factory bugshield but I was not crazy the black color.
