Any suggestions on getting all of the bug parts squished between the fins on the intercooler and radiator?

Thanks,

Buddman,

You can try a degreaser (Simple Green) soak it real good and wait a few minutes so it'll work in. Then spray with a garden hose from the fan side out. You can look between the rad and intrclr as you do so to see results. Rinse real good between the rad & intrclr after doing the rad. Then do the intrclr. Will be harder cause there's not much room. Then hose from the outside angle hose from top to bottom as you rinse to try and flush everthing down and hopefully out. Other than that remove radiator and clean reall good. I'm sure others will chime in soon with some different ideas. Good luck.

if you have access to compressed air a combo of a good air blower and degreaser/hose alternating from the front and back side gets it pretty good, blow it then hose it then blow it a couple times once per side. i did this when i had my radiator out and completely covered my flatbed with crap from the air, and what ran out with the water/degreaser was quite dirty

I've tried the cleaning thing without removing the rad. Pretty much a small, temp fix. I finally pulled the radiator off to clean it. The extra time was worth it.

I got a little fin comb somewhere (Harbor Freight maybe?) that has it's teeth spaced for different fins. Soak the bugs, then CAREFULLY pull the comb down. It's also good for straightening out the fins that have been bent. A toothbrush might work too.

buddman: The window screen works great, I installed heavy duty -heavy weight screen when my truck was brand new. and it is still bug free at 111k miles. the bugs wash off with a hose quite easily. :) "Ironbutt"
