I would love to have one but My pockets aren't deep enough to keep one going fast . A friend of mine has one that runs around 11. 60s on average. . still Has A/C and gets killer MPG. He always rags on my loud non AC car. I shut him up by saying no matter how fast his is, or how cold the AC is, Mine will Always sound better lol. His is Actualy an 87 T-type thats White... great Sleeper ZZZZZ Have fun with it
My brother has an 87 GNwith t=tops . We upgraded performance with Flowmaster exhaust, larger injectors, updated ecm prom, tweaked turboboost very fast car,,, sort of reminds us of our diesel BOMBING.
I saw a BGN the other day at the mall and my wife asked me why anyone would parked an 80's Regal so far away from everyone else. I explained to her why and we drove over to it and I found out exactly why!! It wasn't your average everyday BGN, it was a pristine GNX!!
I had never seen one in person before, sure wish I could have driven it just one time!!
I remember my cousin Dawn had a Black/Silver '83 Buick Regal T-type (before the BGN came out) with the same engine. It was funny as hell riding with her and she would whoop every Mustang, Camaro and Vette that crossed her path with that little 6cyl.
Sadly the fate of every car driven by a woman happened when she totalled it. She was alright but the car didn't survive, but the engine did. It is camoflaged inside a '79 Regal w/ whitewall tires and wire hubcaps nonetheless.
Here is one for sale. must be something wrong with it. No bidders at $20,000. They usually get 25-29K for them with good mileage. I have a late model 87 . Great car!
Good luck finding a stock one lol. I bet %90 of them are not stock around here. Every year the GN club of this region puts on a mustang vs Grand National Shootout. WOW lots of black cars. Last year there was over 75 GNs entered. I think the score is even now the ford and buicks are the same. Last year the Mustangs put the hurting on the GNs. Its a cool show if anyone lives near this area(its actualy done in Noble OK near OKC). They give 3 time trials and then have everyone turn in the best slip. They pair them up as close as possible then let em run. For some reason the buick guys are HORRIBLE on the tree.
I have an 87 T type, dark red/maroon with all the stainless trim that I ordered new. Didn't want a black car so chose to go with a regular looking regal with the gn power train. Haven't played with it much the past few years as it is still stock with about 60,000 miles on it.
personally I would like the car to be exactly like this one. That is how I'd make it anyhow. 11 second daily driver. And a gnx to boot. I'd love this one.
