That is insane, $47000 - 53000 for a pickup truck!!!

These trucks will be only for the very wealthy.

Dude, a cup of coffe used to cost $. 25 and now you go Starbucks and it 5 bucks. At least you are getting a solid truck for you money. I bought an '04 Ford HD with a Powerstroke ($44k) and in the first 300 miles an injector broke off and ripped through the drivetrain and it took Ford almost a month to fix it. If you are going to fork our the dough, at least get a good one.

Not me brother ... I get the free coffee at work (a step above crank case oil, but its free). I make my own lunches and never go out for dinner and still find it hard to have a few bucks to rub together.



Remember, a new truck (or car) is a liability and the value goes only one way. If it is an asset for business that is one thing, but $50,000 for pickup truck is unfathomable ... criminal more like it.



The problem now is that used cars/trucks that are 4 or 5 years old arn't really cheap either.

If I'm ever in the market for a newer truck, I'll just do what I did with this one and let someone else take the major depreciating hit and pick up his/her leftovers. :-D



I picked up my 01 IN 01 with 15k miles on it for QUITE a bit less than sticker. Now I've got 115k miles on it. Yeah, it's the dreaded 53 block, but it's still chuggin' along!
