Build date for 610's

Does anybody out there have a build date for when the 610's started to roll off the line! I am trying to hammer out a deal on one right know and it is on another lot. The dealer say it is the latest and greatest but when I mention 610 he has a blank look on his face. [had a 5 star tell me last dec the the 600 Cummins was now a 6L. different dealer]

I'm not sure, but I ordered my '05 in mid August, delivered in mid September and it had the 600, shortly thereafter, I noticed the 610's begin to trickle in. To this day, I don't know if the "610" is just an advertising ploy by DC to remain at the top of the torque heap. Mine did qualify for TSB 18-037-04, which is the latest and greatest flash, no complaints, I don't think you could go wrong either way.

Mine was built 9/11, delivered 10/1. It has the 610.

Cummins started to build a "Signature 600" engine several years ago... this is a class 8 truck engine that develps 600 HP and 2250 lb ft of torque. . Some of the guys in the dealer ship have heard the term "Signature 600" and assume its the pickup engine... They just are not informed..... they try and carry too many buzz words in their vocabulary..... and impress the customers with what they really don't know...



As I remember the door decal from Chrysler spells out the engine size and HP... . as I understand it... all 05's are 610's but I'm sure someone will point out my mistake if I'm wrong... .
