OK..... well, I have decided not to mod my 3rd gen anymore. I just can't destroy my "everyday" truck. I have a baby on the way so, I have to keep it a "daddy truck". :D

So I am going to buy a buddies 95 12valve auto 2wd single cab. I am getting this truck pretty cheap (about as much as my dual disk would have cost ;) )

I plan on chopping it to a short bed, and building a custom four link. This will be a purpose built toy to stay street legal. I plan on a DTT trans, and large single so far, but I am not really sure what will work best?

I am asking you guys what you think I should do? Do you have any links or pics of trucks done like this? What can I expect?

Talk a little w/ COMP461 (Greg Hogue). He's down in TX, and helped me out a lot w/ what I've done so far. I know his builds are based on a large single and NOS. Ask about his cam grind, and he'll put you in touch w/ RayMAC racing for any head work you need. I also know he uses Industial Injection for injectors and pump work. Just reccomending him b/c he helped me out and was knowledgable, and he drives the 8 second Predator truck. I'm sure I'll start a war here, b/c Greg is apparently very controversial here. :-laf Good luck and Congrats on the baby! -Josh

cluckmaster I appreciate it! :D

When I get the truck I will do all the chopping, and weight removal. After that I will do the trans, then start with some of the motor. All of this after the baby of course. I have three trucks right now, so we will see what the old lady has in store, before I go spending money on this thing. :{

I really just want a general direction to head towards. Thanks!
