Possible to add OEM cargo cam?

Why doesn't my 2017 3500 have upper overload springs?

I need some advice (Hey Bob4x4) on wiring a flatbed that I'm working on for my own truck. Ive read stories about people causing expensive electrical failures on 4th gens but I don't know why exactly.

When I built my headache rack, I mounted LED running, brake, and turn lights on it and I tied into the trailer wiring near the rear end. So far, I haven't any issues with that. I probably could do the same with the harness for my flatbed but I'm not sure I want all that load on the trailer harness.

I'm also looking for info about the OEM connectors that plug into the taillights. If I tie the flatbed harness into there, it would be nice to make it a plug and play setup....if that's even possible.

I played around on the Mopar connector site last night looking at connectors. Actually 3 different connector options per side, cab / chassis, std tail and led tail..(I think..). Then you have to find one to match it on the flatbed end. Mopar does not make this easy.

I would suggest creating another connection back from the factory one. Those I can easily provide numbers for using Metripac connectors and terminals. Then you could still revert to stock easily.

Let me know if this of interest and I will provide part numbers so you can source them.

Can you reply with a link to this MOPAR connector site? I have a friend on another site that is having difficulty sourcing some connectors as well.....for a very similar project.
