ordered it last week from andy and doug at ADT and it showed up yesterday. looks like a system for a mack truck:rolleyes:

jetpilot/doug,,are you sure you fit all these big pipes under your truck with ease? any pointers before i install it?

going from a stock system with the resonator and muffler to the 5" should really help my egt problem.

"quote me on this"

I AM DONE WITH AND SATISFIED WITH THE HP & TORQUE MY TRUCK IS MAKING AND FROM NOW ON MY GOAL IS TO MAKE IT MORE DRIVABLE BY LOWERING EXHAUST AND transmission TEMPS

AH, yeah right, I don't think so:D :D :D

PM me with what ya paid for the system, does it have a muffler?

And yes, I can't wait for a review on how it installs and sounds. So call in sick, take the phone off the hook, and get out in the driveway and install that thing!!!!!

I fit a 5-incher on my 2wd shortbed just fine. . . so. . . I think it will fit ;)

I bought a section of straight pipe, 3 45-degree elbows and a 90 degree + muffler and with some help from guys like Rip Rook, Cummins4Life and Rob Hanson, we fit that bad boy right up! There was a bet going on among the guys before I showed up that it wasn't gonna fit. Proved 'em wrong! :D With downpipe and all it was a little over $300 but it is not aluminized steel (budget system) but with a good coat of hi-temp primer and silver paint it is holding up so far (since March 10th).

Anyway, be prepared for comments like:

"Holy Cow. . . don't you think you should put a grate on that to keep the rodents out?"

:D :D :D

torque this,,yep it has a muffler,,a "BIG" muffler:D

6 pieces of pipe including the muffler, all the hangers and clamps needed to install. 3" at the turbo and right to 4" and then to 5".

i will definately let you all know how much it helped my egt issue.

sad part is i gotta work 15 hr days for the next 4 and won't be able to install it till tuesday:mad:

the good part is my '94 is going to need an exhaust system and the '01's will be going on there.

thats how i justified the cost of the new system for the '01 to my wife anyway:D

Good man Ice, Good man! "But honey this new TC, VB, DD2's, Comp box and exhaust cost the same as an extended warranty at only $1500, the truck will last a lot longer" :D :p

i put the 5" on my truck about 6months ago. it is the best sounding system out there i think. there is no drone at any speed. yes it will fit, but it comes really close to the spare tire and the shock.

it's installed:D sounds great:D

only problem i had was that the down pipe and the 2nd pipe were both flared the same size so i had to cut the flare off the #2 pipe and it worked out fine. andy at ADT is contacting bully dog about the flaring problem. the long pipe had to have 13" cut off also to let the muffler fall in the stock location which was stated in the instructions. the down pipe also has a 1/8 npt port for those who want to read post turbo egt's.

the tailpipe is very close to the spare tire and shock but seams fine. at idle it sounds sweet and when it's hammered it will bark but the engine can still be heard over the exhaust.

the stock system laying here looks like a rice beater exhaust after seeing the new system.

now to go play around and see how the 5" effects my egt's

COST

How much did it cost AND what about the sound? Hey I love the sound, but has it become to loud for a neighborhood, or early/late campground motoring? For example at 70, is it any louder?

call andy at www.advancedieseltechnology.com for a price. only sounds loud when you tromp the go pedal. crusin at 70 mph it can barely be heard.

also crusin at 70 mph i notice egt is about 200 deg. less than with the stock system. (running the powermax on 3 and the ez set on 3 as i normally do.

at wot i can still bury the needle on the egt gauge but takes it longer to do so now.

also, when i back off the throttle the temp comes down a lot quicker than before.

Glad to see its on Don,,Hope the local twp people don't miss the sewer pipe you stole to make it,LOL,,Why the muffler man??,getting old???,,Oh and on the passing it off to your squeeze that way, remember I DO KNOW WHERE YOU LIVE !!!(as I now hold you hostage and expect a deer dog ransome paid,LOL). .

Then the comment that made my day is said... ...
