Bully Dog downloader question

I tried down loading my Bully Dog Pup today. Everything works fine till I choose the power mode. The screen says"vehicle unknown,call BullyDog". It's the weekend so of course they are closed. Just wondering if anybody had the same problem. Thanks

Reload the stock program an try agin, I had that happen once to me.

There is one other thing that it could be, if some one used it on a truck and did not reload the stock program on that truck the box would not let it be used on another truck.

how good is the downloader with no other mods

Maybe you have one with a bad data cable. I'm still waiting for mine. I order it 15 Feb and still hasnt arrived. Dealer said they are waiting for those cables that connect to ecu and the downloader. said it would be shipped directly from bd.

one8,Funny you should mention the data cable. The screws don't engage that hold the connector to the down loader. I figured ,no big deal. Like I said before ,everything reads fine till I get to choosing the power modes. I will call Bully Dog tomorrow. Thanks

Mine did the same thing when I went to put the truck back to stock before going to the dealer. So I loaded the tow mode then the stock and everything was fine.

Just recieved my Bullydog downloader for towing (the main reason for purchase) and has anyone seen a difference after downloading in the tow mode in performance. ,big. somewhat big or little difference?

Yes.



Tow mode shows more power than stock. You should enjoy the added performance. Watch your gauges.



Performance mode shows more power than tow. This is probably hard on your transmission. Control your aggression.



Extreme mode shows more power than performance. This will burn up your transmission. If you dare, use a light foot. That is all you need.
