I have been considering getting new injectors BD III"s or DD III"S Is this to much injector for towing?I also have a VA box. I would Be running with 4 inch exhaust and BAHF. I have a boost fooler too. I also will be updating the transmission. Gages on order. I am mainly wondering about EGT issues.

I use DD3's for towing my 10K 5er with no egt problems. I do leave the box off because I have plenty of towing power with just the injectors.

Never really top 1100 in the hills with plenty of speed :)

I do perfer DD injectors over BD

edit* and I do run a PDR35 w 14cm wastegated housing

I ran DD3's with the stock turbo for awhile. My impression was that they were too much of a good thing for the stock turbo. Getting the exhaust out of the engine was like putting 50 pounds of mud in a five pound sack.

Following the installation and break-in of Diesel Dynamics HX-40, I had the opportunity to tow a friend's CTD 150 miles on a gooseneck trailer (empty weight 8400 lb). The truck performed flawlessly and moved the load effortlessly with very forgiving EGT's.

DD3's are great injectors..... when used with a larger turbo. My . 02.

I have 3's and agree, these things make a ridiculous amount of torque by themselves. However, at least at my elevation I am concerned about pulling anything with weight with em. They run pretty warm on their own so 1200 will be hard to hold with the HX35. 40 or KSB1, here I come!!
