Greg,

cool glad you got it. Can't wait to see the responce of the 03's on major boxes. Although i can't buy my 03 right now, I will have one in the future. If it can handle Greg "the maniac" Boardman, than it is good enough for me:D

All right Guys,

This box changes more then just the fuel rail pressures?

I'm scheduled for DTT / TC, DD2's, 5" exhaust at the end of the month and now maybe a different electronic doodad ?

HEY FRED! what is this thing! Do I want it?:D

What Muddy said is right on. About 50/50 fuel/timing on level 2. On level 3 it hits hard when you have boost. Real hard. I think Bully Dog is onto something here. What is nice is a low EGT and high boost. Running around on the lower level my egt's are the same as stock. I also like the fact that you can run with it off.

Level 1: Stock

Level 2: 60 Hp increase and a nice smile to your face. About the same feel as the EZ on level 3.

Level 3: 120 Hp increase It hits real hard in third gear. I was gassin' it around a corner earlier and broke em loose on dry pavement. So I nailed it. "Blue Tire Smoke" not like the 2001 but I still don't have injectors or a turbo... My truck is stock except for the air filter and the Bully Dog prototype box. Thanks again to Diesel Dan and Philip from Bully Dog for the new toy. I think I'm starting to really like this truck.....

Tomorrow I am going to haul my backhoe and flatbed for about twenty miles. Not a long trip but it is a steep trip. I will be able to see how it works with and without the box on. Then I will tell all..... Until 9:30 AM See Ya... ... ... . Greg:D :D :D

Well as I said I have towed real heavy and hard with the box. It works on the low level just about the same as the EZ. It hits real hard at 2600 rpm's and I'm not sure if I like that. I wish it hit a little lower and pulled longer. The EZ pulls from about 1600 rpm's and goes all the way to 2900. But when you put it on leve 3 it really pulls. I was afraid of smoking the clutch but didn't. I haven't weighed the truck, trailer, and backhoe yet but. .

Truck 7700lbs

trailer7345lbs

hoe 16000lbs

+______

31045

I would say that is a pretty heavy load. I only saw EGT's at level2 that were 1050. I can't wait to put in some injectors to see how it runs... I feel this box might work better with injectors.

Hope it does something below 2600.

Stock clutch is holding? How 'bout the EGTs?

Any hints what the price will be?

Thanks

(Oh no, I wouldn't BOMB a new truck, I'm just curious :D )

I have found a little different results than Muddy. I can make more boost with the EZ. 40 psi is there anytime pulling the trailer and tractor. I saw very low boost with the proto box from bullydog. Not even 34 psi. Now I am not complaining about this. You guys need to remeber that this is a prototype box and it still needs a little tweeking. I have seen lower egt's too, maybe 150*

lower than the EZ. I was told Bullydog is going to work on it a little more this week and see what they think... I have to confirm that I don't have any heavy fueling until 2500+rpm's. I would like to see more fuel earlier. It is hard to tow a trailer that weighs in excess of 20,000 lbs with no boost at 1500 rpm's after a shift. I'm sure this is why they send them out to the psycho's to test. I haul this heavy every week. This truck pulls better than the 2001 that is bombed for sure. Either box helps alot. I just think "We" are doing testing to find out what works better. As for a plus, mileage on first tank through with box was up a little from EZ. About 17. 5 as compared to 16 with EZ. That is with pulling a little and HWY driving. I will report more later..... Things are looking good for us in Bomberville. DD has the turbo ready... .

Any more updates on the Bully Dog box? Sounds promising... kinda waiting to see what happens before I purchase. Would like to know when it or any other timing/fuel boxes hit the market, for the 03'.
