I was wondering why a 325hp "600" olny dyno'ed at 268hp, BUT a 250hp "SO" dynoed at 235hp ?? (maybe exhaust?)

one losses 57hp from drivetrain, but the SO only losses 15hp??

I feel luck i have a SO now... .

I will say the 184hp gain is very impressive, very close, and i mean very close to the gain posted by Dkiesewetter (sp) of a 183hp from his tst box...

seeing as I live the "show-me" state (missouri) ... I am afraid I will not believe this is from a downloader until I see with my own eyes, Needless to say i will be very interested to see the graph and torq gains

ps - if this a streetable 183hp (read- egt controlable), you better run production on 24 hour shifts, cause they should sell like hotcakes

PPS - does it seem that the box has a larger effect on the SO's ??

tomeygun, yes my transmission is still stock, well what'a left of it,its not too bad on the dyno, but on the road, the converter will knock you out of the truck. transmission rebuild day. MONDAY.

To answer the download questions, the 600 was a standard, not exactly sure why there was such a powerloss at the rear wheel,we were suppose to have a 600 auto here and they didnt show up. The so really liked the downloaders. All the trucks but mine, transmission slippage was probably minimal. From numbers i've seen the 600 numbers are pretty average. My truck has been on the dyno many times, never stock, this is first time with only 100hp inj. and it was 363,which is probably about right,as far as the disbelief,Extreme truck and trailer is getting a small shipment of these downloaders next week,we will ship it to you free. I know new products make us edgy,I've tried it,I'm not here to blow smoke,no pun intended, this is an awesome product. 1-888-278-3906

KBishop,

What gear did you make your dyno pull in? My 6-speed gained 30 BHP and 100 lb-ft torque pulling in 6th instead of 5th. That's with 4. 10 gears, so YMMV.

Rusty

I beleive it was five, not exactly sure,he was a first time dyno puller,a more experienced puller would have probably been able to work the dyno better. sorry i'm really not sure which gear,I'm pretty sure it was fifth

Based on my results, that may explain your missing BHP. Not to bog down or derail the discussion, but the difference is due to the drivetrain's combined moment of inertia sapping power that one wants to go to the rollers. This effect is less in 6th gear than in 5th gear as the 6th gear pull takes longer to complete.

Rusty

I agree, like i said first time puller and he was alittle leary about the whole thing. Not to change the subject but how do you get your truck profile to pop up when you post

Go to Discussion Forums - User Control Panel - Control Panel - Settings and Options - Edit Signature. Put in your truck profile and whatever else you want in there & save it. It will only come up once per page of a thread - the second and subsequent posts on a thread page won't show it to save bandwidth.

KBishop, place your cursor over 'Discussion Forums' select 'User Control Panel', then, when the User Control Panel displays, select the profile you want to edit form the list to the left.

as do I, seeing as you have a SO model - you should see 450hp or so,

I will waiting with much anticipation

Tomeygun,I spoke to a rep from Bullydog on monday asking about the diferences between the ca so and the ho 2004 models. It seems the so responds much better than the ho much like the other boxes. I suppose the so's have more room for improvement. This downloader sure sounds interesting! Oo.

I just talked to guy at bullydog that said the SO on the dyno they have showed 190HP gain on the SO with the extreme setting

So that satisfies me, now that they did dyno'ed it... This must be an amazing box

I can't wait till "non-beta" people start posting about fun they having

One big question I have is: WHEN does the fueling start??
