I had had it with the fluctuating tach problem that many other 06 owners have experienced. Dodge says tough luck-out of warranty and they don't agree that it is their problem no matter how many out there are expeiencing it. So what is the verdict on BullyDog, Quadzilla, or other digital monitor? Truck is staying stock so I don't want to go the tuner/programmer route.

I have a Watch Dog and it works fine... . Gives all information needed to monitor temps and pressures... You will have to pay extra for a EGT probe kit and I highly recommend it if you tow... . If you do decide to upgrade with a performance programmer at any time keep in mind that the Watch Dog Monitor is connected to the OBll under the dash and will show false boost and fuel rail pressures because the programmer fools the ECM into thinking different in order to boost performance... But if your stock it will be a very useful tool... . It has a driving coach to help you get the best mileage... I bought mine from Thoroughbred Diesel and was the lowest price anywhere... . Just my 2 cents.

I just put in the Watch Dog too, love it. Readings seem to be very accurate, yours would probably read more things than mine as your truck is newer. Watch Dog was about $240 plus approx 1 hr to install. I had the EGT installed at the same time, that's what I really wanted. The Watch Dog is real neat, you can look at 4 readings at the same time.

Good luck.

Since you already have electronics problems with the tach that should tell you something about the these monitors. ;)

Analog gauges if you want consistent easy to read monitoring of vital metrics.

Thanks I also received some info from Geno's about the Edge Insight CS which looks like a worthwhile piece. Guess I'll have to figure out what I really want for Christmas.
